I'm Doing the Summer is Over and the Kids Are in School Dance:) - TalkStates

"Back to school". At the beginning of summer the kids all danced and bus drivers honked their horns and the teachers did their happy dance. Well now it is my turn.

The kids are back in school starting yesterday, hurrrrrayyy!! The kids even said "Mom are you really going to do a happy dance when we go back?" Yelp, I did and it was so nice to have 3 1/2 hours all to myself. The youngest started Kindergarden this year.

New school and it is always so much fun figuring out which way to pull into the school to drop off and which way to pull in to pick up. And don't you just love the mom's that stop in the middle of the pick up road, to have a chat out of the car window. Honk, honk, and they just wave at you and keep talking. The crazy lady with the stop sign, who just waves and smiles and points you in the right direction.

How about everyone else out there...anyone else doing the happy dance?

Our happy dance begins Sept.3 and then they have Labor Day off. Makes sense, huh?

My son is 16 so the happy dance isn't quite as intense as yours probably because he is independent.

Minnesota state law bans schools from starting class before labor day. Most start the day after labor day.
