Dozens urged to flee as Calif. storm hits

Seems like an early season winter storm for California- the amount of rain this early caught the state off guard- 3-5" in the San Francisco Bay area with over 60 mph winds.

It looks to be a early winter for the majority of the united states. We may indeed receive snow here in Indiana before the end of the month. Which is somewhat rare for us and most of the nation.

We have had three years of drought, so these early rains are so welcomed :)

San Luis Obispo County received, in some parts, ten inches of rain!

We were in Orange County and there were a few instances where mud slide watches were in effect and a few boulders fell on to Hwy 1 in Malibu which is a pretty common occurrence during or after a heavy rain.

I live here in Los Altos Hills and its raining right now :)
