You will need to paste the following link into your browser. Thought it deserved some exposure. Some people who advocate gun ownership and hunting rights but don't like the NRA or wanton killing (like me) might appreciate it. https://secure.defenders.org/site/SPageServer?pagename=c406_090308palinwolf&JServSes sionIdr012=yp3gmrlnk4.app25a Dear Earth, Tonight Alaska Governor Sarah Palin will accept the Republican nomination for Vice President, a position that would put her second in line to be President of the United States. But before she accepts, I need your help to let America know where she stands on the brutal and needless aerial hunting of wolves and bears. Watch our new video on Palin’s awful record and share it with everyone you know who cares abut wildlife. Warning: This video is extremely disturbing. It contains graphic images of aerial hunting of wolves -- a brutal and needless practice that Governor Palin has fought hard to promote and expand. Despite strong scientific, ethical and public opposition to aerial hunting, Governor Palin has… Proposed paying a $150 bounty for the left foreleg of each dead wolf. Approved a $400,000 state-funded propaganda campaign to promote aerial hunting. Introduced legislation to make it even easier to use aircraft to hunt wolves and bears. If you care about wildlife, please watch this video right now -- and then share it with every friend, neighbor, conservationist and wildlife lover you know. Tonight, all eyes will be on Governor Sarah Palin. Let’s make sure the whole nation knows about her awful record on aerial hunting and protecting wildlife. Respectfully, Rodger Schlickeisen President Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund

I guess that you have never heard of culling the herds, huh? That is all she and others do up there. In fact, a friend of mine does this also, as they happen to live in Alaska, which happens to have lots of wolves.

My sister used to raise Wolves on Kodiak for many years. I'm not sure how I feel about Alaska's approach to it. However, allow me to post this: While reading some of the responses to this guy's video and plea the issue was raised that his is a non-profit organization and as such he had no right to take a stance one way or the other as the computer he used to generate it was "public" property and therefore not aligned with any "side" or school of thought. There is no need to cull bears in Alaska. Wisconsin, maybe. North Carolina, maybe ... well, that's my gut-feeling speaking and I've really not studied it one way or the other. It is, as I simply already stated, information that I thought deserved some exposure ... sorta like Catfish's self-appointed mandate to blow the whistle on all things related to illegal aliens - so I decided to introduce the info on Putin ... er ... Palin.
