With a limited time to visit, what would be the most recommended amusement park to go to? Disney, universal, others? I have been to Disneyland in California. Went to Santa Barbara and stayed at a hotel where it seemed like everyone there was Eastern Europe. Seemed to be a place that attracted people like markablue Moderator. What do you typically find at these places? Do locals visit the parks very often?

Well if you don't have a lot of time, go to Universal/Islands of Adventure/Universal's Wet N Wild. Less overwhelming, more compact parks. A little LITTLE less theming but GREAT parks. Wet N Wild is the best waterpark in Florida IMO, Islands of Adventure is a fun, young theme park and the Universal Studios are ok, but not really my cup of tea.

Islands of Adventure has a few big, scary coasters. If you like big, scary coasters Islands of Adventure is MUCH better then any Disney location.

I still love the Magic Kingdom. I feel like I am in a cartoon when going through the rides there.
