thats the key like you said she is only 7,
A 7 year old simply cannot run your life to the point where you have to get her approval on a move!
But at the same time i understand your concern on her unhappiness, after a short time when she makes friends at school, and she gets used to the new place im quite sure she will do a complete turnaround. it just takes time

There is a reason 7 year olds have to live with parents. They are not old enough to make their own decisions. No child likes to move away from friends and a place they know...just give it some time and I am sure she will be okay where you are.
Make sure she knows you understand her feelings and let her talk about them but help her understand that you are there to stay.

FEEL THE FEAR AND DO IT ANYWAY

She is only 7. She shouldn't be telling you what to do. She will adjust just fine back in NY.
