We need specific names of recommended movers that people have had good experiences with, as we move from St Paul MN to Norfolk VA this summer. Thanks for your help.

From personal experience with moves from SLC to Las Vegas, and Henderson to Boulder City to Las Vegas, we found any Bekins Movers the best.

My fiance and I used Pack Rat.
PACK-RAT Portable Storage for Self-Storage and Moving - 1-800-PACK-RAT
My fiance's parents used Pods to go from VA to FL.
PODS - Reinventing Moving and Storage > HOME
I had no issues with Pack Rat and enjoyed being a customer there.

I used Allied movers for my last move... The driver, Gary and helper, Dawn, were nice, excellent, and terrific. The sales rep that gave me the estimate was very nice. Everyone was nice and careful w/ my items The driver and crew were terrific.
The local agent for Allied is Berger Transfer in Roseville, MN. Other local moving companies should be able to give you free quotes, so call around and get a few before you sign a contract.
