Yes. Just turn yourself in first and get it over with. They will probably just book and release you the same day if you don't have a terrible criminal history.

Don't be foolish. Take care of business. If this is your first offence, and you do what's right, it may not even go on record. If you run, chances are it will eventually catch up with you and become much worse. Running is no way to make a fresh start.

They've given you good advice and best to adhere to it, but I can tell you from personal exprience of my own and others that for a misdemeanor, especially a very minor one. They wouldn't make the trek from Montana to Oregon and you may just get time served for the days you spend in county jail. I believe they have 5 days to pick you up.

You can run, but.... It will catch up with a person because all of the DMV computers are connected. What will happen is if a person tries to get a drivers license, in any state, or tries to renew one, it will show on the computer and they will withhold giving you a drivers license until the matter is cleared up.

Good one. If you think you have anything on ya, either clear it up or stay away from the DMV.

And in my state, DMV has connected with insurance companies. If your license expires, your insurance is notified. Some thing the other way. If your insurance expires, DMV and the courthouse are notified automatically.
They are all getting computerized. Imagine that.

I love England. Seriously none of their computers talk to each other, although they have some type of auto recognition so police can run your plates through and can tell if you have car tax and insurance.
It was only a few months ago they implemented field sobriety test for drugs. All these years you could drive high as a kite and nothing would happen to you. I drove for two years withought a UK drivers licence, since I figured I held Texas, California and New Mexico drivers licences.
