Why in the world would you want to? LOL. I have family there who want to go, mostly b/c the winters are brutal. However, during winter they do take care of the roads very well. To check the job market, do some research online such as checking what their newspapers are and looking at the classifieds. Also check the housing lists (you'll need something eventually). While you're there you'll get a better feel for it and like the other poster stated--travel light---just clothes and essentials.
Good luck and don't forget yr long johns!!
