So I live on the East Coast.. Maryland to be exact. And I am moving to the West Coast... California. I was thinking more of moving in the San Diego area. I have already done research about the area and so forth and I should be visiting to find a decent place to stay soon. I am still left with some questions. What are some surrounding cities? How far is LA from San Diego? Also, I am in my early 20's. What kind of night life is there and are there any decent colleges in the area?

Any information on San Diego will do. =) Its just very different moving to a whole new state and not knowing where ANYTHING is.
