FARMINGTON - Several people fell through the ice while fishing on a lake at the Winding Trails outdoor recreation facility Saturday afternoon.
Farmington police responded to the scene at about 1:10 p.m. Saturday and within 10 or 15 minutes, everyone who had fallen through was safely out of the water, police say. There were no injuries. Police were not able to provide information on how many people were involved in the accident; their names or on which of the facility's two lakes the incident occurred.
Located at 50 Winding Trails Drive, the non-profit organization offers recreational opportunities such as cross country skiing, ice skating, hiking, swimming and fishing.
