That is an old sturgeon. Too big to keep. If you want to see a really cool place, stop by the Sturgeon center in Cascade Locks. They have some seriously huge sturgeon!!!

Absolutely Cool! I was always s'posed to go sturgeon-fishing with an ex-brother-in-law up in Idaho ... but never did.
At any rate, I know what my Halloween costume's gonna be!

If you have the gear, you can sturgeon fish below the falls from highway 99E in Oregon City. They just park on the side of the highway and cast out over the cliff.

Having never knowingly caught a sturgeon, I wonder if the meat is edible - or are they just for the caviar ... and the free windchime?
