These pictures are absolutely gorgeous, Rosanna, and they make me appreciate our beautiful natural surroundings here even more. You probably don't have many pastoral, farming settings like that on Long Island! Where exactly are you moving? Tunkhannock? I just thought I'd correct you on one of the photos though---the one with the Ramada Inn Hotel is actually in Clarks Summit, not Dickson City. Clarks Summit is a relatively-posh suburb of Scranton, and Dickson City has all of the big-box chains (Target, Wal-Mart, Lowe's, Home Depot, Best Buy, etc.) I look forward to meeting you soon! Just don't be irked if I can't talk for long at work---I'm constantly "on the go" with an armful of carts of refrigerators and barely ever get to catch my breath! LOL!

It is beautiful up there, isn't it? Paul, we will be in Tunkhannock. I did hear that Clarks Summit is very upscale. We will learn our way around. What's the name of the big mall again? We stayed on Rt. 6 but didn't venture onto any of the other roads there yet. Is there a Home Depot, Lowes in Tunkhannock? We went to the Walmart there on 29 and bought our winter coats LOL. It isn't a supercenter though. I love the supercenter for the food shopping. I will let you know when we will be at Lowes so we can say hi! |

Hello again Rosanna! It's nice to hear that you settled on Tunkhannock; Wyoming County is such a nice area that seems to be overlooked by everyone (stagnant population). The "big mall" that you'd probably be heading to is the Viewmont Mall in Dickson City, along Route 6. Wal-Mart is the only "big" store in Tunkhannock, to my knowledge. Plans were underway to build a Wal-Mart Supercenter across Route 29 from the existing Wal-Mart, but they fell through. Depending on where near Tunkhannock you'll be living (NE of town along Route 6 or SW of town along Route 29, you'll be closer to either Dickson City or Wilkes-Barre for shopping).

Paul, we are past the hospital off Rt. 6. I think its SW of town...? Thanks MyAzi! ![]() ![]() ![]() There's the house landscaped! I used the Sierra landscape software to see what it will look like once I change the landscape in the front. |

Rosanna, The house looks great and the view is magnificent! We closed on our property/construction loan over this past weekend. Waiting for permits and we'll soon have our dreamhouse in Greentown. |
