Gorgeous! Nothing like a big working eat-in kitchen. Keep the photos coming.

Thanks everybody.

Now I have to get a solid wood floor that will go good with the rest of the wood in there.

I saw a nice laminate by Wilsonart that looks like slate. I don't know yet though. I really want a lighter color wood in the kitchen and livingroom.

Is the basement finished with furniture? Can you rent a pump? Or is it just a little bit that you can mop up?

Just looked at the pictures. That is a big kitchen. Love the ceiling. Are all those trees out back yours? How big is the property?

The basement is finished and we have our office furniture and computers down there. The water was going to ruin the rug, not a good rug, but still...
I would have made the floor soaked.
We have a sump pump but the water was coming in from another spot. The sump pump won't help that area. We will get it fixed!!!! I love the house very much.

Well save the computers. Hopefully spring is here and the snow/rain will stop soon...that will give you time to fix the leak. Can't wait to see the photos. Are you going to garden flowers or vegetables? We use to do vegetables...I need to put in some raised beds here. The soil is all rock and clay. Loved planting bush beans, peppers, tomatoes, and strawberries. Also did some small pototoes one year. They were great. Nothing like the taste of fresh veggies. The store bought stuff doesn't taste the same.
