Default Sailing and sailboat racing as an extreme sport.....

It is amazing that sailboat racing is not as popular in this country as it is elsewhere. I have taken friends out just for a casual sail and they thought it would be going slow and lounging around while drinking beer, yet once we were out, they commented about how intense it all is. And when it gets blowing and you start heeling and water is pouring into the boat.... man, my wife freaks out everytime and starts screaming "we're going to die!!!". And the scary thing.... people do die!!!!

Check out these cool sailing videos:

Man... I wanna go sailing now

I never sailed, but part of me wants to real bad. It has to be a rush especially if you're the one making it happen. Good luck on your find!

The 28 footers that we are looking at are about 9-10 feet wide and around 43 feet tall (top of mast).
